The Xbox Design Labs will debut at the XBOX 360 Developer Conference in March, with Xbox One controllers designed by Xbox Designer Matt Sauer.
The studio will also be launching a brand new XBox design lab, with new consoles and accessories being announced in the weeks ahead.
Xbox DesignLab will be offering a range of Xbox One accessories, including the Xbox One X controller, the Xbox 360 controller and a range to upgrade the Xbox controller to the Xbox 720 controller.
“We wanted to start a brand-new XBox Design Lab because we were looking for new ideas for what we can do with a new console,” said Sauer in a video that will debut today at the event.
“We want to create a brand that’s a part of the community of people who play games and build their own experiences with the Xbox.
We’re also going to be focusing on accessories that people are going to want to add to their existing console, and that’s why we’re also starting with accessories that are part of our existing Xbox One lineup.””
It’s about building new experiences that are the future of gaming, but also make sure that they’re easy to use.
We’re also going to be focusing on accessories that people are going to want to add to their existing console, and that’s why we’re also starting with accessories that are part of our existing Xbox One lineup.”
Sauer will be joining the team from the Xbox design lab and has been working with Xbox designer Adam Lebowitz, who is a founding member of the design lab.
“Adam and I are both incredibly passionate about creating experiences that gamers can play with,” said Lebowitt, who also serves as Xbox creative director.
“Working with him on Xbox Design brings us one step closer to creating a new, innovative console that will help bring the experience that we all love to life.”
